USPA STATIC LINE/IAD COURSE
The Static Line and Instructor-Assisted Deployment (IAD) methods represent highly used modalities for beginner skydivers. In the Static Line method, the student's parachute deploys automatically upon exiting the aircraft via a static line connected an aircraft strong point. In the IAD method, an instructor manually deploys the student's parachute during the students exit phase. Both instructor courses go over proper exit techniques, body positioning, aircraft procedures, equipment checks and teaching methodologies.
